These are Vintage Fujinon 7x50 Polaris binoculars, made in Japan. We don't know the age of these, but they're definitely removed by over 20 years from newer models. We're pretty sure this is a Polaris model (as opposed to a Mariner) because it has the individually focused eyepieces like the Polaris does. But there are no markings on it indicating which model it is. These are in very good condition, with clean optics. However, the body shows that these are definitely used - there is normal wear and tear from having been well-loved and taken care of.
This body wear does not affect the outstanding Japanese-made optics. We have taken these out and the view is terrific, clean, and sharp, from edge to edge, and it is in perfect collimation. It is marked as having a 7-degree field of view. The left side has a slight spot that is only there if you look for it - it is not noticeable.
This model has a built-in compass that you can see through the eyepiece when you use it - that's what that cylinder on top is. It also has a vertical and horizontal reticle in the view. An approximation of the view is in the photos.
This includes the attached lens caps, front and back, and neck strap, but no box. These are heavy, solidly made binoculars - you can feel the quality in your hands. The copy below is for the current, new model - not all of the information/specifications there will be applicable to this vintage model.
