This is an ES 8x50 right-angle scope with the latest ES Illuminator. It is in very good condition, with clean optics and body, but the scope sits in the included mount a little funny. See the photos.
This has a polar scope reticle, but, with its wide 7° field of view, it can be used as a non-polar scope as well. The batteries in the illuminator are dead, so we have not tested it out, but there's no reason why it shouldn't work. It has a rear dust cap, but no front dust cap.
The Explore Scientific 8x50 produces a wide 7° field of view and allows precision focus of both main objective and eyepiece illuminated reticle. This finder now includes the NEW long battery life Illuminator II.
The 55° apparent field, 16mm long eye-relief eyepiece produces a bright 7mm exit pupil and will allow you to find faint galaxies, comets, and nebulae. All optics are fully EMD Coated to insure maximum contrast. The deep red illumination is continuously variable to provide the desired brightness. Many customers tell us it is the best viewfinder/finderscope they have ever used on their telescopes.
