More often than not, manufacturers fail to produce a clip-in version for their sought-after filter models, leaving DSLR users in the dark. Also, when clip-in versions are available, they can be quite challenging to install within the camera properly, especially for those with larger hands. Thanks to the ingenuity from Apertura, this Ultimate SCT T-Adapter is the only t-adapter available equipped with compatibility for the highly regarded ZWO 2” Filter Drawer! This means no more fumbling with small, finicky clip-in filters. Now, DSLR users are able to utilize the industry’s most popular 2” filters and no longer have to purchase separate types of filters for different types of cameras. Simply remove the 21mm end of the Ultimate SCT T-Adapter, install the flanged 1mm M42-M48 spacer from this kit, and thread on your ZWO Filter Drawer!

Adding a focal reducer and other accessories to your imaging train can be daunting at times due to back focal requirements, but no need to fret! Apertura has done the hard work for you. Most dedicated astroimaging cameras come complete with 55mm of spacers, while a DSLR t-ring also houses 55mm in length. Understanding that most SCT focal reducers require 105mm of back focus distance, Apertura has designed this Ultimate SCT T-Adapter to be 50mm in length. The combined 55mm of spacers/t-ring plus the 50mm Ultimate T-Adapter results in 105mm, the perfect back focal distance for use with a focal reducer! Wanting to add additional accessories to your imaging train? This is where the beauty of the two piece configuration comes in. Many filter drawers and filter wheels on the market have a width of 21mm, the exact size of the removable 21mm portion on this Apertura SCT T-Adapter. Simply detach this 21mm removable portion and add these accessories, all while retaining the correct back focal distance.
